Easy 8 at SM Mesa

As this week begins some higher intensity training, I was paying particular attention on this run to make sure I made it an easy run. It was more about keeping within heart rate zone 1 or lower zone 2 and being on my feet for 8 miles than pace. Pace didn’t matter. I think I did well in this area with an average HR well within zone 1 and a max HR still within zone 2. I stopped for photos a couple of times, and I tried to keep my cadence high and my bounce low. I am very happy with this run. It didn’t really feel like 8 miles, even after yesterday’s 10. It encourages me that I might be able to handle this higher level of training. But this is just the beginning. I’ll stay positive, but we’ll see how it goes! Bing Map
