I had some difficulties today. First, the wind was blowing at about 30 mph at Pt. Sal. I started the run there all by myself because nobody was stupid enough to “enjoy” the view today. Next, it was a pretty cold wind. My ears and hands were semi-numb a lot of the time, especially on the ridgeline. My stomach was bothering me too. It was actually painful with every step, and running made it hurt a bit more. So I took it slow and easy. I am also constantly worried that I am overtraining even though everything is going great. Today was supposed to be an 8 mile run, but it turned out less than 7. I’m fine with that since it did involve climbing 1200 feet. It’s not really about distance. It’s largely about exertion level, and I got my fill today. The hills are slightly green right now due to the little bit of rain we had over the last few days. I’m trying to enjoy it while it lasts because it won’t last long. But eventually, the sun went down, and I ran back to the car with very little light. I did have my headlamp just in case, but I’m glad I didn’t have to use it. I had another really good Radiolab podcast to listen to today. Love those things. High quality. Now, it’s beer time and rest day tomorrow. Bing Map
