BBTB Challenge Day 7 – Done Today is the last day of the Bring Back the Boom Strava Challenge. The goal is to run 70 kilometers in 7 days, which equates to an average of a 10k per day. The ending mileage was 76 kilometers (about 47.1 miles) in 7 days with an 8 mile day prior to the start of the challenge. I decided to actually run a 10k every day rather than skipping a couple of days and doing longer runs simply because I felt that would be more difficult for me mentally. And I think it was. Motivation was difficult when I knew I had to run in the dark and cold. But it got done. For the last day, I decided I wanted this run to be my fastest of the week. That worked out well. Not a spectacular time, but it was under an hour. The wind was blowing today, and the temperature was in the mid-70s; warmer than I prefer. Not much more to say about it, except that I’m happy I did it. I’m going to take 2-3 days off (my Acute Training Load is rather high right now), and then plan some longer trail runs.
