The Dark Heart of Chino Hills I ran Chino Hills State Park this evening. I left my headlamp at the hotel, so I wasn’t sure how far I would go in the trails, but there seemed to be enough light for me to run comfortably without the light. Maybe it is a partially full moonrise was reflecting through the clouds. I heard a pack of coyotes tipping just down the canyon from where I was running. I popped one earphone out just so I could hear if they got too close, but I never saw or heard any sign of them after that. It was actually a really nice night to be out. I’m glad I forgot the light. I think I’ll do it again tomorrow.
